Ahhh, to live in Michigan..WHY WOULD YOU??

Remember kids,a few blogs ago I said that Californina wasnt as different as Michigan..especially when it came to stormy weather?

We had a DOOZY of a storm here kids, 100+ mph winds,hail,rain,tornados that not only tore trees up from their roots but totally downed power lines.

In fact yours truly was sans power for half the day on friday,and its still a mess as we speak,our CBS station WLNS does a good job with coverae, including now get this if its a MAJOR storm, they interrupt ALL programming and go full on storm coverage,a plus is also if you have a radio you can hit the 87.7 fm frequency and get the WLNS audio feed, which is pretty awesome indeed.
Right now the station is 3 full with weather folks a new guy is supposed to make it a quartet again after may sweeps, lets hope he gets ready for all over hellfire, cause michigan weather IS different,tho simular to what they hit upon in california.

All in all, it was weird to see some trees down, and all of jackson sans power, in fact only two restaurants and motels were
out of luck, while others including OLD COUNTRY BUFFET were packed to the rafters, even Denny's which was so understaffed it was amazing!

The city survived...NEXT!

WAL-MART is coming, and OHHHH are we ready for the knives to be out in force!, see Jackson was only a two store town, K-MART and grand rapids based Meijers ruled the roost, then came SAM'S CLUB,and then talk of WAL-MART coming here to Jackson, well this got the feathers ruffled of both K and Meijers, and they bitched all the way to the mayor, and we never heard from WAL-MART again, so both K and Meijers continued their power over the city, that is until a deal was reached with the owner of a local mall to buy the old Montgomery Wards store..guess what, the buyer was WAL-MART!!

So then,K and Meijers had a big billboard saying that WAL-MART was anti-union and would mean the end of the world...sadly it wa smet with laughs, but you can feel the effect WAL-MART is having with Meijers ..Meijers is so scared because its a 24 hour WAL-MART, they have made critical errors in EVERYTHING,jacking up prices,and getting rid of good folks...Meijers is now feeling the shadow of WAL-MART...and all I can say is , GOOOOOODDDDD!!!!

Well I am now One California TV Station short,Dish Network today pulled the plug on KCBS TV last night, so no CBS2 NEWS! on the good side, no WGCL 46 Atlanta, but no more looking and yes fawning over Lisa and Vera !


At Least I'm still with KTLA!!

Moving On....

I'm doing my PUDGE DANCE because ever since the Tigers got Pudge Rod, its been fun again, Tigers in 3rd place!! pretty good yes?

Not much to gab about as I prepare for three things ...
Of course my birthday, but also my trex to florida and sunday's big wrestling event.

My buddy and broadcast partner Doug has finally found his equal,and it seems he is learning from me to slow down,wow I must be rubbing off him!

Today's talk is about what I personally think is a complete and utter fraud.

You see interviews with these models or actresses saying they cant find a normal guy or no normal guy would approach them to talk to them because they are intimidated by looks,money and job.. THATS A MYTH!

Fact is ladies ..we arent intimidated by you, we normal guys who arent hunks or models or football players or zillionaires are always in the back of the room trying like hell to get to know you, but several things always stand in our way.

1-You have 300-400 pound bodyguards next to you who, if we even come near you will pounce on us like we were the grand slam dinner special at Denny's

2-You might not think we were interested in you as a person,but see you more as $$$$$$$

3-You might think we were nuts

4-You might say no if we asked you to a coffee or a lunch.


See ladies, not all men think with what little god gave them between their legs, guys like me, we think with hearts,souls and mind, and always look at your eyes not at your obvious "blessings by god",but somewhere down the line..maybe its just me, but somewhere down the line women (And yes even men) forget that you are just normal average women.

So ladies, be you actresses,models,or anyone who thinks you cant find a guy because we are intimidated by your looks,money,job...take this from me.

We arent scared,intimidated or frightened,we would love to ask you out for coffee or lunch, its just that we want you to know that we are interested in you for just YOU.

I have just seen a horrible sight,that makes me really question why we went to Iraq,

No not just the abuse in the Iraqi prison,but a video shown on some news sites of a beheadding of an american hostage by an islamic group.

The shocking scene played out on not only arab tv but also partly
on FOX News, was gruesome, sickening,revolting and just questions everything from the meaning of the Koran to what we are doing in Iraq in the first place.


If the muslum faith believes in god,why then are they killing god's children and beheadding innocent people who wanted nothing but to bring a better life to people.

If the muslum faith believe that god is great then why kill??
surely the law of god no matter the name is clear "Thou shalt not kill my children"

This is what sickens me to the point where I must question now why we are sending innocent people to a place we have no right to be in,We made a mistake, and it is costing more lives now than ever
before.

This stupidity has GOT to stop before more blood is spilt, King George II now has the blood of another innocent person on his hands,Iraq is becoming King George II's Vietnam.

Abu Grade Prison is the Dachau of Iraq and of King George II

Mission Accomplished?? ..More like MISSION FAILED!

Can we survive four more years of incompetance?

Well, hope you folks had a great mother's day, me it was ok the parent enjoyed her gift and will enjoy another gift as I flee to
Miami Florida for some rest and fun as well as meeting my friends at Telemundo,as well as going to the home of the dolphins/marlins for some souveniours and more stuff.

Well,anyone watch the end of "SURVIVOR" last night? great to see some romance last,congrats to Amber and Boston Rob, To B.Rob for his proposal of wedded bliss to Amber, and to Amber for winning the million,but what the hell happened to Jenna,man she went demented like hell..talk about bad karma!!!


The Parkers finally ended their run on UPN,as if anyone actually watches UPN,for those needing a quick 411, The Professor finally after 5 years admitted his love for Nikki parker,YAYYYYYY! hope for us all!!!, now Ive had somewhat a love/hat for this show since UPN canned The Hugleys for it... but hey, it proved one thing Countess can sing, and Jenna Von Oy,wow she turned out better looking than blossom.

Tomorrow is "THE DICK VAN DYKE SHOW REVISITED" not a bad reunion show,hope they remember Richard Deacon and Morey Amsterdam.

Speaking of passings, sad to hear that Alan King passed away, I remember his live "ALAN KING FINAL WARNING" specials on ABC,and lets not forget the movie "WOLFEN" among others he produced. his comedy will be missed.

Wonder if they will make a big deal out of FRAISERs finale like they did of ....what was that show again??

Can we now say it...MARY KATE AND ASLEY GROW UP!!!!! their latest movie was a big budget BOMB!!! Van Helsing was the big winner in the box office.

Well, looks like success has split up the gang from Trading Spaces...Ty is all but gone and Vern just signed with NBC to do his own show,Whats next Gen's new show on the STYLE network??


Hey, some props to Shaffee who is doing great at WRIF Detroit, since his unceremonial dumpage at Q106, He is kicking ass and taking names, his saturday night shows are primo!

WOW!! I like this new look! Blogger did some cleaning and well I kinda like what I see here, lets hope it stays around for a while.

OK, so where was I ..

Anyone survive the finale from hell, otherwise known as "THE LAST EPISODE OF FRIENDS"? I did'nt watch it, I was watching Ty Pennington's show "EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION", taped the friends finale, as for you folks with TIVO, dont blame tivo, BLAME NBC!!
6 extra minutes...SIX EXTRA MINUTES!!! great idea, now what for the Fraiser Finale,20 Extra Minutes???

Well friday we heard from Donald Rumsfeld, he appologized for what happened with the prisoners in that Iraqi Prison, the other day it was King George II who decided to go on arab TV (all but Al Jazerra) and tap dance around the truth.
Then Condi Rice comes to lansing and does about the same thing with several interviews on the big lansing TV stations.

Looks like this is one controversey that King George II cant buy off, or cover up .

Well kids its the weekend, if you are like me and hated this week, you will be celebraing at 12AM the weekend begining.

It was 20 years ago that two creative talents formed a tag team of no limits!

Yep, Me and my broadcast partner/best buddy Doug Pribe of Toledo,Ohio have been the best of pals fo 20 years..the longest running friendship bar none!
Strange isnt it, our friendship lasted longer than Pauly Shore's acting career.

Tech TV, remember them...for they began the revoloution of technology, sadly
they are about to become the latest casualties of the success of the age we live in, As all 285 folks who were the heart and soul of Tech TV were just told to pack up, only a small villiage of leftovers will be just kept for production purposes as Comcast , which just purchased the channel will actually do to the channel what CNBC did to its competition FNN when they bought them..MERGE!.. With CNBC it was a fait du acompli, with Tech TV, it wasnt so simple as Comcast had a channel that was not vastly viewed by many folks, now that will change as Tech TV dies and a SUPER G4 Network lives on.

Well gang,here it is the week I was supposed to go to meet mi amor Pita!
instead look what happens, I get a toothache which now has gone into a Jaw Infection..So now my plans are rescheduled for the last week of may ..TENATIVE THEY ARE!!

Congrats Calgary on playing a ...well you did play like a bunch of goons,first you got cujo,then you swapped "Stevie Y" in the face with a puck,last night you again took cheap shots to a new art form...I think I might just hope for the leafs to win it all..

CBC to can Don Cherry??? Hell no! ...there is a report that after this hockey season, Don Cherry may be OUT as commentator of its long time stallworth HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA, and that two big CBC execs who have not been very shall we say "friendly" to the successfull "COACHES CORNER" segs have been wanting Cherry out..oh did we forget to mention that these two CBC executives will be retiring at the end of the year...Dont these CBC Lunkheads realize that "Coach's Corner" is THE cornerstone of HNIC, to lose that is to lose the heart of hockey! KEEP DON CHERRY!!!!


Yet ANOTHER nail in the bush:
Seems like those pictures 60 minutes II showed of Iraqi P.O.Ws being abused
is proving to be the achellies heel for King George II,this is becoming an very interesting election year AFTER all..

And for the record, Im a progressive conservative reformist, free thinker in translation.


Now for my fun part:

THE 2003-2004 TV Season is now over as far as I am concerned, the 21st edition of BATTLEBOWL ended with Telemundo's morning show "DE MANANITA" becoming the three time winner, now they go to the commissioners cup against FXs "THE SHEILD"

Good luck ...and a winner will be announced on friday .
