LAST CALL CAFE Review
By Steve Baxley
Producer Last Call Cafe

Well wednesday was a special edition of L2C as it was more a memorial to a legendary voice of baseball, ernie harwell lost his battle with cancer, and it hit all baseball fans as well as all of baseball!

Friday we had some severe weather hit us with tornados and thunder and lightning , so for the sake of the computer ..i PPD the show till saturday

So we did a special saturday show, my former radio co-ho decided to watch , gee what a shock, so i had stopped the show, but hey, so he finally fgured out I was doing something fun..well if he wants to be a part of it ..ill go through the format here

Our show airs wednesday and friday nights 8 pm et / 7 pm central / 1 am London and sydney time, now here is what the segments are all about

the format of the show is based loosely on BBC London with a nod and a wink to FIVE and in some areas LBC LONDON and Thebasement.com.au and Comedy World.

We have 3 blocks A-B and C,
The A Block being our main topic block, we entertain and enlighten with no spin and always fair and balanced.

The B Block is our entertainment section, where we bring to the table entertainment reports from TV TATTLE and TMZ

And the C Block is our all purpose block, in it we present a more outrageous side of life with weird news

On Friday Nights we offer a light snack for the weekends

A Block once again is our main topic block

B Block is where we recap the world of pro wrestling

C Block is where we deliver the entertainment with a capital YES
as well as winners and losers of the week

The one thing our show isnt is political, even tho we were blessed by FOX26 in houston , we hold to a promise and that is this

"We entertain and enlighten,we dont tell you how to think,or try to influence you in any way, shape or form..We dont insult you, we respect your rights to your opinions and embrace life in whole and in general. "

We hold to a strong belief in being fair and balanced in the way we present each and every show we bring you.

The shows we do , are entertainment based, as we enter our first year of broadcasting we constantly continue to shape the show to the taste or our viewers and fans, never once straying from our format.

We have in our first year included reports from our bureau in Houston,Texas, as well as picked up fans from London, England and Sydney,Australia just to name a few .

This first year has seen our show grow to two nights from its early start as just a one night show, we also have included skype, and twitter as well as Blogger and myspace.

As with all new expierences we have suffered teething pains , from 4 viewers to now over 40 , weve suffered the slings and arrows of technical gremlins and ustream.tv problems, doing shows without a format in its little pupa stages to where we have crafted out what you folks have seen as an entertaining hour of fun and entertainment.

We've been to tea parties, baseball games, movie premieres, weve shown you wild weather hitting us, and all that in a single year of operation.

We have also introduced weather and sports at :15 and :45 minutes past the hour, and actually have a meterologist in our travelling band of merry minstrals.

and we are not through yet! there is more to come as we celebrate a year on the air.

This show began as just a thought, a dream as I was watching TEXT ME TV , and that dream has become a reality and to the people at TEXT ME TV , boy do I thank them for all they have done to kick start me ...its been a great year and now we start on year 2..

Always we do this with you , the viewer and fans in mind, our success comes direct from what you give us and that is your friendship. you are a main part of this show...you are the heart and soul of this.

And now you know , and I thank you ...now
LETS GET TO WORK ON YEAR TWO!!!!
