HOLLYWOOD HELD HOSTAGE: DAY 36
Last week,an emergency meeting was held by Commissioner Steve Baxley with reps from the major networks as well as from all the teams in the WTL after the latest meeting between WGA and the nets/movie studios broke off with no signs of a resolution.
The reps from all the major networks came to a decision and officially announced in the USA TODAY that in all purposes, the 2007-2008 season has been cancelled.
All networks have now begun loading up with reality shows and newsmagazines,it is not known if the WTL will reconize the subsitute shows in the league.
"As of right now, nothing is certain" said a very dejected Commisissioner Baxley
"we continue to hold out hope to salvage this season, but with two weeks before the January cutoff, it just doesnt look good, and we are voting to go on with a reality
show only season, with most of the teams shows locked into its position, things just are not certain"
